2023 IAPD/IPRA Conference

The Central Parks team had a successful IAPD/IPRA 2023 Conference! They were able to connect with familiar faces and introduce Central Parks to new people. Attendees had a jam packed schedule filled with sessions but they had designated time to roam around the Exhibit Hall.

The IAPD/IPRA conference was held on January 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. There were several park districts in attendance and hundreds of exhibitors present. Central Parks was located in aisle 500 and was booth #532. Last year, Central Parks displayed as their parent company Links Technology but this year they went solely as Central Parks.

The Central Parks team always decides on a fun game to help attract attendees to the booth. This year Brent had the idea of using a gift that was purchased for his son for Christmas. It was a two sided felt board with one side resembling a dart board and the other was a circle board that had different colors/numbers in each section. We decided to use the different color side and had attendees throw the three balls to win prizes.

The Central Parks team utilized the leftover swag from years past and gave away sunglasses, Starbucks gift cards, pens, stickers and bags! If the player made the ball on the board, they got their pick of all swag prizes besides the Starbucks gift cards. If the player made two balls in the center, they won a Starbucks gift card!

The attendees loved playing the game and winning swag. It was great to recognize people and have people remember us. Overall, the conference gave us the opportunity to connect with our former clients and create relationships with new contacts and companies.
